CD Standard Jewel Cases

CD standard jewel cases are the original compact disc cases in use since the compact discs first came to the market in 1982. They are three-piece plastic cases, measuring 142 mm × 125 mm × 10 mm, which usually contain a compact disc inside with a back card along. Two transparent halves are hinged together and this is what gives them the shape of a casing that is able to hold a CD. the back half has a media tray with a hole in it. This hole holds the CD in place. All these three parts are made of injection-molded polystyrene.
